Tenancy Support Service
The Tenancy Support Service is a floating support service and the support offered is to individual households, varying in intensity and duration depending on need. The support is generally short term and anyone with longer term needs is referred to an agency that can provide the long-term support.
The service is currently provided by The Simon Community who are well-known in Scotland for their housing support service. They offer support to vulnerable tenants with an aim of preventing homelessness.
A vulnerable tenant can include anyone with mental health or substance misuse problems, young people or households at risk of homelessness through harassment or victimisation.
Tracey Blair works between Cloch, Oak Tree and Larkfield Housing Association and receives referrals from the different housing association’s staff to visit and support tenants and her duties are very varied and cover everything from simply visiting and keep in touch appointments through to seeking help for people with addictions or financial assistance through welfare rights and debt counselling.
If you would like to know more about this service, please contact a member of the housing services team by calling 783637 or emailing office@clochhousing.org.uk and they can make a referral to the service on your behalf.
