Cloch Housing Association hosted a lively and successful Gala Day on August 9th at Lady Octavia Sports Centre, bringing together tenants for a day of fun, learning, and community engagement. The event, designed with a child-focused, fun-filled lineup, featured a variety of activities including a bouncy castle, soft play, bungee run, sticky wall, face painting, and sports activities by Active Schools. The unpredictable weather didn’t dampen spirits as the Active Schools team ensured the outdoor activities, especially football, were a hit with the kids. The Mini Zoo also provided a unique experience, highlighted by CHA's own Josh who bravely faced a large cockroach—an unforgettable moment for all!
In addition to the entertainment, the Gala Day served as an important platform for local support groups and charities such as Carers Gateway, Inverclyde Shed, Wise Group, and Financial Fitness to connect with the community. Cloch’s Community Support team was actively involved, engaging with tenants and promoting the various support activities and broader community work undertaken by the Association.
This blend of entertainment and community support underscored Cloch Housing Association’s commitment to tenant engagement and outreach, making the Gala Day not just a day of fun, but also a meaningful community-building event.
