Allocations Policy Review

Inverclyde Common Housing Register (ICHR) Allocation Policy Review

The Inverclyde Common Housing Register (ICHR) is reviewing its Allocation Policy, and we need your input! This review involves five housing associations: Cloch Housing Association, Oak Tree Housing Association, Larkfield Housing Association, Link Housing Association, and Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association.

 We Need Your Feedback

We want to hear from applicants, tenants, and other stakeholders about any changes we might make to the Allocation Policy. Your feedback is very important to us. If you get an email asking for your thoughts on the Allocation Policy, please take a few minutes to respond. We will send this consultation to all current ICHR applicants, tenants who have moved in the past year, and other relevant stakeholders like local authority homelessness and housing staff.

 How We Allocate Housing

Anyone over 16 can apply for housing through ICHR. Because there is more demand for housing than we have available, we use a priority system to allocate homes. We give out 'priority passes' based on an applicant's situation. Once you have a pass, you can apply or 'bid' for properties through our Choice Based Letting system. Those with gold priority passes have the highest need and can bid for suitable homes as they become available.

 Focus of the Review

This review will look closely at the priority pass system, especially how we decide the level of priority for different situations. We want to make sure our Allocation Policy is fair and meets the needs of our community.
