Gas Safety Inspections

Cloch have a duty under the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998, to ensure that all gas boilers undergo a safety inspection NO LATER THAN 12 MONTHS FROM THE PREVIOUS INSPECTION. This will be carried out by James Frew (Gassure). You will be contacted approximately 8 weeks prior to the deadline date in order that access can be arranged, and the inspection carried out. It is important that this safety inspection is carried out within the 12-month period to ensure your safety and others in your home / block, as well as ensuring that your boiler remains in good working order.

We would appreciate your assistance in this matter including where relevant that any gas and electrical pre-payment meters are in credit at the time of the inspection. This will be carried out by James Frew (Gassure).

Unfortunately, where access is denied beyond the 12-month expiry period, and / or where there is no gas or electricity in the home, we may have to consider gaining access to your home as well as possibly capping your gas meter. This is not an action we would want to carry out and we would ask that you contact Cloch in advance if you have any concerns as we may be able to provide alternative assistance. You may also be liable for any additional costs relating to either obtaining access or re-connecting the gas supply.
